• Biting/marking during sex. (Mine, mine, mine!)

• Bad decisions everywhere too (but we love them for it).

• Just the tip.

• “Why are you behaving like this is just business?”

• Give your man that money shot.

• Movie marathons and room service buffets.

• Knowing damn well he wants to kiss you (and being horrified to discover you might want to kiss him back).

• This would be so much easier if I could just hate him.

• Realizing your person is masking in public (and liking them even more for it).

• “Perhaps you simply haven’t discovered what inspires you yet.”

• Allowing yourself to be slowly coaxed into a relationship, like a wild animal being offered a full meal after being starved for too long.

• When talking about expensive things makes you almost come in your pants.

• A truly satisfying dressing down of a rich asshole by Mr. IDGAF.

• Oh, you thought ROWEN was the most chaotic character in this book?

• “Let’s talk about what you did. Then you can show me how sorry you are.”

• Believing you’re a lone wolf only to discover (/remember) you have a pack at your back.

• Finding your confidence thanks to the BDE of your person (“I don’t want to hide who I am anymore.”)

• Just a little D.B. Cooper role-play.

• Delivering karma to rich assholes—TOGETHER.

• Pulling up the cuck chair for a private show (in front of a “stolen” masterpiece).

• Pretending not to like the sentimental shit.

• “Please top me.” (All you have to do is ask!)

• When revenge on your mutual enemies gets you hotter than anything.

• “Get on the bed, Giano. Face down, ass up. Now.” (Yes, Mr. Quincy!)

• Eyes on the prize, boys.

• “I don’t care about provenance or price tag. I just like beautiful things.” (Like you.)

• Yes, two certain side characters will get the next book, chill.

• Two very true-to-character love confessions over a fire escape feast.

Possible triggers (please also check content list):

• The Twin Towers are mentioned (just to mark the year), but nothing about 9/11 itself.

• Past death of parent—father—in a private plane crash (off-page, no details).

• More recent death (about two months prior) of the same MC’s other parent—his mother—after a battle with Lymphoma (also vague and off-page).

• An MC carrying guilt over not being able to save his mother (while still acknowledging their complicated relationship and how some things—but not everything—was resolved by the time she died).

• Various side characters being overtly or covertly insensitive about a recently deceased family member.

• A ruthless, reputation-obsessed mother who forced her own son to remain closeted in the interest of public perception (and was fairly flippant of his coming out to her).

• An abusive control of money (specifically a trust fund) and life paths (career and marriage).

• Alcohol consumption (socially) and cigarette smoking, plus vague thoughts of past drug use (more as a comparison to the high of a current—non drug-related—experience).

• An MC shown as an underage kid hustling/gambling (running a shell game) during a flashback, along with memories of skipping school with foster siblings to pick pockets in the city.

• Pickpocket ideation followed by ACTUAL pickpocketing (old habits die hard).

• A detailed art heist that definitely pulls innocent (and not so innocent…) people into the line of fire.

• An introvert’s worst nightmare happens: Being asked to host a party at home, invite people you don’t like, and make small talk.

• This same introvert also endures a charity gala where all eyes are on him performing his role as a straight man (when there’s nothing heterosexual about him in the least).

• A mention of a (previous, off-page) incident where a billionaire (not our MC) put his hands up a woman’s skirt (and this same billionaire later brags of the “young ladies of the Riviera” waiting to take a ride on his yacht… ew).

• An MC being forced into an uncomfortable employment situation as part of his parole (the threat of prison will have that effect on a man).

• An incredibly contentious colleague who takes credit for the work of an MC and goes for low blow insults (he gets his comeuppance, trust).

• Equally contentious (but socially acceptable!) relationships with company shareholders who only care about making money.

• A brief mention of AI, but only in the context of a leaked photo to the press being verified.

• A billionaire (one very specific billionaire) being shown as a sympathetic character (BE WARNED).

• A LOT of product placement and designer name dropping, but it serves its purpose of showing just how CASUALLY the 1% are out here buying $50k watches (wealth disparity is a big theme in this book).

• Billionaires in general being called “rich assholes” (I’m assuming no one here minds, but thought I should mention it).

• Light Google stalking of your future partner.

• We have some prettyunhealthy fixations on all sides, actually (remember—this is fiction!).

• An MC leaning on a (VERY CLEAN) shower wall (this TW is for Lem).

• A lavender wife who gets (very temporarily) mistaken for The Other Woman (it gets cleared up quickly, don’t worry).

• Cutesy pet names (used ironically… until they’re not).

• Sweary dialogue (inner and outer) and usage of Jesus Christ/God both as swears and exclamations in the bedroom (and if that alone is a dealbreaker, my books are not for you).

• The use of brat, slut, etc in and outside the bedroom (degradation gets them hot, what can I say?).

• Kink lite (at least for this author’s books) with clear consent and safeword discussions.

• Talk of bottoming food choices over insultingly expensive wine and an educational safe sex talk while one MC is on their knees.

• They use condoms to start, buuuut that goes out the window fairly quickly…

• When the idea of being trapped—anywhere, with anyone—nearly sends an MC into a panic attack..

• An MC feeling insecure (and self-righteous) about how much wealth the other has, while still wanting to experience it for himself.

• An infuriating amount of emotional distancing—completely one-sided and easily blamed on various systems and the uber rich.

• A certain MC behaves so badly, so many times, you really just wanna SHAKE him (buuut we also see him experiencing regret and apologizing for his thoughtlessness… #growth).

• The particular pain of realizing the person you think is wonderful thinks so poorly of themselves.

• An MC using his powerful family name to manipulate the situation and those around him (keep your enemies close but your obsessions closer!).

• Keeping hurtful secrets from those closest to you (for valid reasons, but still…), and lying by omission.

• Being so focused on hurting someone else that you don’t think about how someone you care about might catch strays.

• We have a few different shades of morally gray among our MCs (with some doing it for the greater good, some for self-interest), and no one becoming “reformed” so much as “redirected” in the end.

• A note to say the on-page shade shown toward the FBI completely belongs to our fictional con man. The REAL FBI should disregard and not take this as being the opinions of the author (and ignore my search history too, please…).

• Please see the Copyrights section for a note on fictional representation of real entities.

Bonus epilogue-specific content:

• The joy of eye fucking your man during a shareholders’ meeting.

• More possessive caveman thoughts.

• Giancarlo’s been a naughty boy.

• “Show me what you did without my permission.” (Yes, Mr. Quincy.)

• A frisk, for old times sake.

• Oops! We lost the cock cage key…

• “Turn around and place your palms on the table.” (Time for a REAL spanking!)

• Disgusting loving care.

• How many fingers can one expensive hole take?

• Just banging your billionaire on the boardroom table where no one can see (hopefully).

• “Now be a good boy and come for me.” (If you can…)

• Perceived exhibitionism (false alarm!).

• More disgusting love confessions.

The Stolen Art, Stolen Hearts series will feature interconnected, contemporary romance standalones centered around the dark underbelly of the art world (and the ridiculousness of wealth/wealth disparity in general). Each book will see a different queer couple finding their HEA.
