Gentlemen Prefer Villains: Content, Tropes, Kinks & Triggers

(MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

Scroll down for the other books in the series & please do not hesitate to email C. directly with any questions or suggestions for adding to the TWs.

Content, Tropes & Kinks:

• Superheroes/villains (and the “normies” who love them)

• MM romance (love is love)

• Dual POV

• A James Bond meets Catch Me If You Can international romp

• A Venus flytrap that’s treated better than most humans

• Fated mates + hurt/comfort

• Casual and not-so-casual psychopaths experiencing possessive, mutual obsession

• Mafia-style boss with his bossy li’l assistant

• Major size difference (how will it fit?)

• “Touch him and (then I’ll touch you and you’ll) die”

• Exorbitant gifts as a love language for an unapologetic sugar baby (just don’t call Wolfy daddy)

• Absolutely filthy dirty talk (from both sides this time)

• Praise (for Wolfy) and degradation (for Simon)

• A blowie while wearing a onesie

• Biting, marking & territorial cum play

• Voyeurism + exhibitionism

• LEATHER (especially leather gloves)

• Asphyxiation and hand necklaces

• Primal play/chase

• CNC that includes being overpowered

• Role play and the willing exchange of power (with both men being vers)

• Cozy cockwarming for comfort

• MAJOR SPIT KINK (more fluid bonding than degrading – I triple dog dare you to give it a chance)

• SO MUCH TENSION + EDGING (for the reader and the characters)

• Spanking/paddling, sensory deprivation & sensory play (in the bonus epilogue)

• All the stretching, blow jobs, rim jobs, felching, frotting, and dicks in asses because this is an MM romance

Possible triggers (please also check content list):

• Sweary dialogue

• Slutty French and an absolutely bastardized mix of French and British/American English

• Naughty, medium-dark humor

• Cutesy pet names and honorifics (Boss/Sir and his sweet little murder baby cream puff/pet)

• Using religious phrases in an overtly sexual context (oh, my God/Jesus Christ), along with the use of the words slut/brat/whore

• Fear/tears & violence (against others) as foreplay

• A concerning lack of lube (but that’s how they like it)

• Morally gray characters

• Psychotic ideation (including from our normie)

• Violent battle scenes with mentions of gore (eg. heads exploding like watermelons and eyes being gouged out – no details, but it happens)

• Superpowered abuse (parental – past, mentioned & on page as adult)

• Restraints (non-sexy kind)

• Threat of forced institutionalization (past, mentioned)

• ***SPOILER ALERT TW FOR BRIEF, ON-PAGE SA OF AN MC IN CHAPTERS 10-11.*** Toward the end of chapter 10, Wolfy starts looking for Simon in the nightclub, then stumbles upon the SA in progress. The other man has Simon pinned to a wall and is touching his bare chest inappropriately, but as he moves to do more – only a few paragraphs into chapter 11 – Wolfy swoops in to stop it (and revenge is swift and most satisfying). Even if you choose to skip this part of the scene, the rest of chapters 10 & 11 are important for their relationship development.

• A cutthroat, dubious moral code for supes that isn’t meant to be understood by normies – “It’s how the game is played.” (Please scroll way down for a note on supe identities)

The Villainous Things series contains standalone books (each with HEAs) that feature interconnected characters and an overarching plot. You need to read them in order:

Please consider leaving reviews when you’re done – thank you!

And YES… the author is already working on multiple spin-offs!
Like “Villains in Space” (a now complete trilogy that includes Earth Boys Are Easy – which comes BEFORE Rabble: End Game) and a soon-to-be-announced “Academy” series… stay tuned…
